Sothink SWF Easy Feature Comparison

Sothink SWF Easy is an easy-to-use Flash banner maker which enables you to get well-designed Flash banners, Flash intros or banner ads in minutes. Here we compare what Sothink SWF Easy has to offer over other similar software products and design service: 123-banner, flashbannernow, bannerserver, bannersnack, and Anim-fx.

Sothink SWF Easy is banner design software that provides 60 templates, a resource library with hundreds of elements, and 60+ Flash effects. A unique feature of SWF Easy is the function of extracting resources from SWF files. The resources extracted can be added into the library and this will greatly simplify your design work. Besides, with its vector editing capability, Sothink SWF Easy also supports creating flash banners from scratch. It offers drawing tools such as Line, Pencil, Pen, Oval and Rectangle, advanced editing tools like Transform and Reshape, and professional language like Action Script. Furthermore, you can export flash files into diverse formats, such as swf, avi, and gif.

P.S. the unregistered version of Sothink SWF Easy can be used in 30 days only for evaluation purpose, but all the functions are fully accessible.

123-banner [Online/remove ads in Premium Area (€5,99 ~ €24,99)]

123-banner is used to create flash banners online. It provides 56 templates in different sizes. You can choose one template and modify the texts and colors (some templates are allowed to insert your local image files), and then you will be asked to enter the URL address which the banner is ready to link to, after submitting, you will get your flash banner maker with its ad button at right foot there, and if you want to get rid of the ad button, you have to pay for it. Making banners in 123-banner is very easy, but its template style is too simple and lack of creativity.

Flash Banner Now [online/Free]

Flash banner now offers flash banner design service online, too, but it has only one template. It provides 12 kinds of fonts and supports modifying texts' color, size, and alignment; moreover, flash banner now also supports animation effects for text and background. Nevertheless, to my disappointment, I failed to get my completed flash banner during our test, but the website indicates that it will generate the banner code at last.

Banner Server [online/Template code file ($19.95); Custom service ($139~$380)]

Banner Server sells its templates’ source codes and customization service for flash banners (the customization for one banner is about $139 usually). There are 35 flash banner templates in Banner Server, and if you want to use a template to create flash banners, you have to pay for its source code file (.FLA). Banner Server also offers customization service for banner design, using Adobe Flash or animated GIF format.

BannerSnack [online/pay points for banner code or download link ($19~$99)]

BannerSnack is also used online. To create flash banner with BannerSnack, you have to get a account for facebook, google or gmail firstly, and the converted banner will generate embedded code, download link and direct link which is used to paste into your facebook and something related, but the code and download link are both charged (The solution can be used freely, but premium download options are available for 4 points/export (about $4). BannerSnack offers 200+ templates and 20+ fonts, provides hundreds of resources for images, icons and buttons, and supports adding images and animation effects.
